How to purchase a trainticket
It is not possible to purchase tickets on the train. The most convienent and cheapest way to buy your trainticket is at a self-service ticket machine. Click here for more information and click here for the demo. You can pay by cash, credit card or debit card. Be aware though if you pay by credit or debit card: you need a PIN (personal identification number)!
You can find the yellow ticket machines near the platforms at Schiphol Plaza. But you also find them in the hall where you pick up your luggage.
Naturally you can also stand in line and buy your ticket at the Train Tickets & Services desk in the central hall.
If you have bought your ticket at the machine and need more information on timetables etc, you can go to the Train Information desk which you will also find in the central hall.
